Graphite Flakes are dry, solid lubricants used in applications exposed to extreme conditions, slow speeds, and heavy loads. Graphited surfaces improve lubrication and extend the life of oils and greases. Graphite flakes can also be used as a paint pigment for heat resistant protective coats.

Applications:

Dry burnish (rubbed on) lubricating film for engines, compressors, etc. Also serves as a solid lubricant additive in self-lubricating plastic, sinter metal parts and metal working compounds, or a run-aid in press fittings, heavy loads and slow speeds applications.
